Security cameras for Sydney's seahorses

Security cameras are to be
installed to protect Sydney harbor’s largest colony of wild
seahorses.
The herd of around 100 Pot Belly and Whitei seahorses live on a
shark net near Manly Wharf.
Manly mayor, Peter Macdonald, said installing cameras would
signal the importance of protecting the seahorses and help to
deter thieving. They would also be used to gather evidence to
launch prosecutions.
"We could put in infrared
cameras as well which would pick up any likelihood of poachers
at night," he said.
A week ago marine pioneer
Valerie Taylor and local diver Jayne Jenkins, disturbed two
divers during an apparent raid on the net at around 10pm.
