Males give birth in the seahorse kingdom. This tradition
has been in existence for as long as the seahorse has been thought
to exist (which is estimated at around 40 million years!).
According to the Marine Conservation Society, on the
web at: www.mcsuk.org/marineworld/seahorse.htm,
seahorses feed mainly on “small crustaceans such as mysid shrimps,
but also on fish fry and other plankton.”
