Wild Heart Ranch Books Exhibits at
Book Expo June 2005
Healing Books Empower Children and Create
Awareness for Endangered Animals
POINT ROBERTS, WA, Delta, B.C., May 09, 2005 - Wild Heart Ranch, Inc., a
children's toy and publishing company, will exhibit its line of children's
books at Book Expo June3-5th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New
York, NY. The books are written to empower children and ease their fears,
whether confronting a childhood fear of the dark or something more
serious, such as an illness. "Bradford and the Journey to the Desert of
Lop", "I Sea Horses, From Sky to Sea" and "No More Night
Mares... A Dream of Freedom", all written by author Dawn Van Zant, remind
children that they hold a magical power inside of themselves that can
overcome any fear by "just believing". Additionally all three books
support education and awareness of the related animals in each story: wild
camels, seahorses and wild horses.
The I Sea Horses product line won the "Seal of Excellence 2004"
from Creative Child Magazine as well as "Dr. Toy's 100 Best Children's
Products of 2004".

Bradford and the Desert of Lop
Written by Dawn Van Zant
Illustrated by Alexander Levitas
"When the Sandman comes to visit you tonight, you need to listen
closely as you close your eyes and drift off to sleep. It is a tale of the
magic that lives in the desert, of buried ancient treasures, vanishing
wild camels, forgotten people and the courage of a small unlikely warrior
destined to be their guardian.
In a warm bed, an unsuspecting young boy who could only walk in his dreams
awaited his destiny."
Follow Brad and the Sandman on their magical journey to the Desert of Lop
to learn the secrets of the desert that live in your heart.

The Wild Camel Protection Foundation, a United Kingdom registered
charity, with Jane Goodall as its patron, was established in 1997. It is
also registered in the USA as a non-profit organization. The sole aim
of the Wild Camel Protection Foundation is to protect the critically
endangered wild Bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus ferus) and its habitat
in the fragile and unique desert ecosystems in the Gobi and Gashun Gobi
deserts in Northwest China and South West Mongolia.

A magical marine adventure about a herd of wild horses that transforms
into seahorses to keep the life of freedom and adventure that is
disappearing from the open plains. The story of stars, magic, and wild
horses transforming into seahorses, is a story for all ages and will be
passed on for generations to come.
Excerpt from the children's storybook, "I Sea Horses, From Sky to Sea":
What do I see when I close my eyes at night?
Seahorses twinkling with a starfish light

No More Night Mares... A Dream of Freedom
Written by: Dawn Van Zant
Illustrated by: Kim McElroy
Horse people will love these mythical mares destined to light up the night
sky.
"Night mares prance brilliantly against a background of black sky and
glowing stars to light our way to a time long-forgotten. Gaze up into
their bright lights and they will fill you with a magical power. Listen to
the call of the wild herd and remember...
We don't have to be afraid of the dark."
Supporting education and awareness of wild horse preservation.
It is a critical point in wild horse history following a new amendment to
the 1971 Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act. The company hopes to
help build further awareness for the plight of wild horses through the "No
More Night Mares" line of plush toys and books, as well as through its
interactive, website,
www.WildHeartRanch.com. The amendment allows for the sale of wild
horses to foreign markets, if the horse is over the age of 10, or if
younger, then after they have unsuccessfully been offered for adoption
three times. These sales may potentially result in the use of these
animals for meat. Wild horse advocates are currently lobbying to get the
bill reversed. To learn more, please visit some of the recent news at

Book Excerpt: "A long time has passed since the days of Eclipse and his
wild herd. The once plentiful wild herds have since vanished from the
plains, now living as small scattered herds in refuge, or hiding in the
outback. The history of wild horses alongside man has both defied and
threatened their extinction. Man has been both a horse's best friend and
his most brutal foe. But the legacy of man and horse continues... as it
always will. They gallop through our dreams to carry us to the stars. They
stir the tamest imagination and comfort even the wildest hearts."
